$3 Cool 03:48
$3 Cool Last night in the taxi, In my lap you were happy. The asphalt never sleeps; Sirens sing blue murder streets. Now I’m holed up In this hotel room, But when I’m full of holes What’s a grown man to do? But it’s like this: Like dead skin tossed to the wind, Like a hook at the corner of my mouth; It always tears something out. And an empty elevator, A lost brother in hotel walls… I write on serviettes: “$3 shades for All”. Like a soldier with brain damage, It was good whilst it lasted. And it has been said to me: “Experimenting in fake suicides, responding through your eyes” Miles and miles of scenery And all of it between you and me. But I still tear away and travel Living on my $3 cool.

The SWEET SIDEKICK Everyone knows you’re my sidekick Everyone knows that you’re with me Everyone knows that I like it Everybody can see She says we’re cute. Not everyone makes me overheat Not everyone makes me dance all night Everyone here is with me But everyone knows that you’re my sidekick She says we’re cute When I need help with keys You’re dancing around my sleeve I give you a gift so secretly You’re my special accomplice, I wish, I wish Everyone knows you’re my sidekick Everyone knows that you’re with me Everyone knows that I like it Everyone knows that you’re with me Everyone orbits, everyone leaves But you’re not everybody You’re on my side

Whatever happened to Mr Partyman? Whatever happened to Mr Partyman? He used to wear a badge saying “Party Animal”, Used to wear a smiley badge upside down. He has a watch that looks like a dollar, And stories just as well-used and shiny. Whatever happened to him lalala? He took refuge in some Asian pornography And a job with small pay but good security. There are pock-marks where his face used to be, One for every film heroine he ever loved. Last seen in a scene in a street of crocodiles, Waving his shoes in their faces and laughing like a harmonica. Whatever happened to him, eh?

IT’S TOUGH FOR BRUTES! If it’s young toked tears on Pancake Tuesday If it’s a fuck you Friday If it’s nameless but paranoid If I am weak for passion If I’ve no place in the situation If I am hard to fathom Call my mum When you teach a guy to swim You’d better dive with him When we are ghost-hunting For the open-hearted ghosts When we are sewn together Without truly understanding If a bad mood leads to love forever Call me. Call me.

EMPIRE OF KISSING In the empire of kissing Some do and some listen And if you can’t make a decision Why don’t you sit right next to me And go ahead and lean in? Kiss me It’s always on my list Everybody needs a kiss I guess it’s just that kind of day And every time we kiss I swear it halves our age. Kiss cute Go ahead and lean in Kiss me
